GENERAL LECTURE BY PROFESSOR AUREO MELLO JUNIOR, BRAZIL

Batam – Tuesday (01/11/2011) Universitas Internasional Batam (UIB) invited a foreign speaker in a general lecturer of “The Evolution of Economic Brazil and its Development since 1964-2010” on 24 October 2011. The speaker was an Economic Researcher from Brazil, named Prof. Aureo De Mello Junior. This general lecture was organized by Student Organization of Management Department and attended by approximately 150 participants including economic students and lecturers. In this general lecturer, Prof. Aureo De Mello Junior provided complete knowledge and accurate information about social and economic development in Brazil start from 1964 until 2010. It was necessary for the students in Faculty of Economic to learn more about the social and economic growth in foreign country. The event was commenced with welcoming speech by Rector of UIB, Prof. Dr. Handoko Karjantoro, CPA. There was also a discussion session where the participants had chance to ask any doubt point regarding with the topic. Professor Aureo Mello also donated books in Portuguese, some music brazil and other mementos.
